Allow user to disable logging to save disk iops and writing cycles?

Hello, is it bad idea to disable logging by default? It is using megabytes of data and usually not checked. It seem to me natural not to log by default or only errors. But user does not seem to be able to disable/enable at :2222/evo/user/stats or in "Edit account configuration" section or in log view. I guess i can remove write permission to a file, but it is inconvenient.
