Compress emails older thanX days

It would be nice to add an option to the Dovecot email compress function to compress only emails older than X days. For example emails older than 90 days are not being accessed that much anymore. This way performance is not hurt much while disk space is still being saved by compressing older emails.
I think the implementation is not that difficult: adapt the current find command to only find files older than X days. Add a daily cronjob to compress files getting older than X days.

I'm not sure of the benefits? Compression of all the emails shouldn't noticeably affect your email performance at all :)
