It would be great if the user could specify a custom document root for each domain and subdomain.
Some CMS does not work well without this function and workarounds are required. E.g. Contao

As others said - it works for subdomains but when we can expect this feature to be available for main domain?
Richard Lincourt

Any new updates on this feature? How about document_root change for domains?

Is this now functioning in the da version 1.60.4, that we can change the document path of the subdomain? Or which directadmin version and skins i have to install, that i get the possibility to change the path of the subdomains? And is the feature later not away, when i update to the latest da version to a later time? Thanks in advance!

In EVO it only works for subdomains, if a subdomain is deleted and the user navigates back it overwrites the maindomain, also the translation does not work (Change button). - Compile time: Mar 20 2020 at 15:13:10

It's about subdomains, but how about domains itself?
This is very usable, for Laravel installations for example.
Dave
I think it is already in the Enhanced skin (it works there too) but not in Evolution yet.

May you try pre-release of Evo again? :)
Dave
I did that, but I can't find it? where can I found the option?
Dominik Bauer
I have upgraded to the pre-release version, but i can not find the option. Can you please provide information where this option is available in the client panel?

GUI has been added to pre-release of DirectAdmin.
Dave
This is a very handy feature! unfortunately, it is missing in the GUI, which means that it costs us more as a server administrator. When will this be in the GUI?
smtalk
Subdomains already have this possibility: www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=2573
GUI feature and domains support are coming.
