Don't obscure or blur the screen.

Currently, when a pop-up window appears, it not only covers a portion of the screen, but also, the rest of the screen is blurred. I don't think there is any benefit to preventing the user from reading what's on the screen. In the worst case, the user will confirm deletion of something without realizing that he is deleting the wrong thing, because he cannot read the screen. Screenshot attached.

Ideally, pop-up windows should not be used at all. But if they must be used, then they should be placed above an empty portion of the screen. And no blurring should ever occur.
