Unfortunately, wildcard certificates aren't fully supported for hostname in letsencrypt.sh script.
It automatically switches to user domain mode when wildcard is in the request in some circumstances.
Maybe when ´hostname´ is detected in the request it could switch to hostname mode (maybe also when the prefix is *.)
Or just a --hostname flag. So the script knows the request is specifically for a hostname.
Like other wildcard certificates this will make the process much much easier.

Man!
This would really solve a bunch of problems for me..
Turns out, a lot of email apps on Android devices don't handle SNI very well, and end up picking up the hostname certificate..
it'd be great if we could add all the currently hosted sites, each as a wildcard, in one cert..
